What I Saw


It Felt Like Home
 
Monterrey was amazing! I was amazed by the colorful buildings and the renowned beautiful cathedrals scattered around the city. There were vendors stationed at almost every corner of the city, even inside the neighborhoods. So getting an ice treat or appetizer was only a few minutes walk!

 
The cathedrals are breathtaking.
 
 

 
I was moved by the people's energy and their enthusiasm to work both regular and odd jobs to make a wage.

The two pictures above were taken at Monterrey's famous market square.
 

 
 I was awed by the culture surrounding the city. The people were energetic, the sights were beautiful, there was music playing aloud, and the city felt alive. Overall, it felt like home.
