Monterrey City
Monterrey is a large city nestled in between large and beautiful mountains which overlook the region.
It is a busy city with thousands of pedestrians going about their business by foot for leisure, or to sell food and other items to earn money. People also take the mini bus or a taxi to for daily travel.
When we first arrived to San Nicolas de la Garza, a small town located just outside of Monterrey, the first thing I noticed was the motorists' lack of respect for the roads signs and road lanes.
I was praying we wouldn't get hit by a mini bus!
About 20 minutes into the traffic, I noticed a large arc monument getting closer to us. This was the entrance to the main city of Monterrey.
Monterrey has a large freeway system that loops all around the city that feeds into many exits all around. From the freeway, I noticed houses settled on the mountains that neighbor the city.
There was this one cerro, or mountain, that stood out more from the rest....
El Cerro de la Silla (The Mountain Seat)
